Making a Comeback!

Finn had his one year checkup today. It's good to know that he is slowly creeping up the height and weight charts. He weighed in at an impressive 20.4 lbs and 29.25" in length. That puts him in the 20th and 27th percentile, respectively. Fortunate for me, his head still is in the 90th percentile. That's the lowest it has ever been. Just let that thought sink in for awhile...








Last week we went to the Outer Banks. James decided to make it exciting, choosing a house on the 4X4 access only beach house. That meant 8 miles of interesting beach driving.

Finn got to spend the week with the entire Hansen family as well as the McElBlanches! It was a week filled with sand, sun, exhausted dogs, wild horses, and good food. I think the wild mustangs used our driveway as a litter box!

Several firsts...

It's been a couple weeks of many firsts for Finn. It seems that overnight he went from being able to stand to walking! He enjoyed his first cupcake on his birthday. He was quite leery at first but once it hit his lips, he couldn't stop!

He has also learned how to climb onto couches and beds, crawl up stairs, and crawl through the dog door. I still can't believe how fast a year has gone by and how good a baby Finn is.

Of course, he still enjoys playing tug of war with Riddick.
